Vicariously World is a browser game about carrying letters around a small planet where everyone is a cat. You choose Apollo or Artemis, take a satchel, and walk. The planet holds 75 destinations across five regions, snow country, subtropical rainforest, dune and salt coast, satoyama forest and the high mountains, joined by post roads and shared by 600 residents who keep their own schedules. Every building is drawn from one of 168 late Edo architecture archetypes. The terrain, the textures and the music are generated rather than shipped as assets, and the whole score is eighteen pieces built from a single five note call. Nothing in it can kill you.

and hands them to other cats. There is no combat, no failure state and nothing
to buy. It saves to the browser as you walk.
